Educational Programs |

Dealing with unexpected illnesses, common injuries and malfunctions of the human body is part of everyday life.

While a person intervenes in an incident with good will and with the intention of helping his fellow man, the lack of knowledge is sure to lead to unexpected results such as prolonging the recovery time of an injured person or the inability to keep a victim of a fatal incident alive.

As accidents range from nosebleeds to cardiac arrest, everyone without exception should be properly trained to deal with an emergency in a timely manner.

The First Aid programs are aimed at everyone, regardless of status or knowledge, with the aim of enabling them to recognize and deal with life-threatening and non-life-threatening incidents.

Rescue Training International's on-the-job first aid training is an approved program by the Labor Inspection Body of the Republic of Cyprus.

According to the legislation, the first aid certificates issued at the end of the training are valid for three years. At the end of the three years, these should be renewed.

First Aid at Work – 18 hours / 3 days:

The 18-hour first aid training program of the work should be renewed every three years. Renewal is achieved with repeated 12-hour training, where the certificate is again valid for three years.

The second renewal of the certificate (after 6 years) is achieved again by completing 12 hours of training and is valid for another three years.

After 9 years, the training should be repeated from the beginning, in its original duration of 18 hours.

In all the above cases, the procedure of the written and practical examination applies normally.

First Aid at Work – Emergencies / 6 hours:

The 6-hour first aid at work course should also be renewed every three years. The renewal of the certificate is achieved by repeating the training, lasting 6 hours.

Upon retraining, the certificate is again valid for three years.

The annual repetition of learning skills with a duration of 3 hours is recommended, without being a condition of the certificate specifications.
